What to Expect
For both test types, a nasal swab is typically used. The provider will gently insert a soft-tipped swab into each nostril for a few seconds to collect a sample. The process is quick, usually lasting less than a minute. If you're taking a rapid test, results are usually ready within 15–30 minutes. PCR test results are sent to a partner lab and typically returned within 24–48 hours. After the test, our staff will review the next steps, including how and when to expect your results, and answer any questions you may have about quarantine, treatment, or return-to-work guidelines.
